Who are we?
Our mission is to use the arts to serve our community by providing resources to create, hosting events that empower individual creativity, and creating installations that inspire.
Murals
Colorstry has painted murals at WISEPlace, OCEAA Charter School, Tustin Preschool, the Boys and Girls Club of Tustin, Milestones Montessori of Irvine Preschool, and WISEPlace Women's Shelter through the generous donation of Benjamin Moore paint and collaboration with local organizations.
Workshops
Colorstry has hosted four workshops virtually and in-person at WISEPlace and the Tustin Youth Shelter. These workshops include painting tutorials, terracotta pot painting, and linoleum block printing.
Art Kits
We have donated 400+ art supplies to shelters, senior centers and rescue missions. Packed with handmade cards/artwork and art supplies donated by our sponsors, these supplies have gone to fostering a passion of art in our local community.
Colorstry aims to instigate a passion for the arts through creating opportunities and experiences that address the importance of art within society.
A fundamental aspect of our work is decreasing the disparity between individuals' access to creative resources. Therefore, we work with sponsors as well as local organizations to ensure that financial hardship does not prevent creative expression. This involves hosting painting workshops at women's shelters and creating art supply kits to be delivered to rescue missions. We also work to create art installations within schools as a way to inspire the next generation of artists! This includes painting murals within our community that beautify the location and instill a larger thematic message.
However, this is a large undertaking that requires an equally large collaboration of people and organizations. Therefore, we work with our generous sponsors to direct supplies to fund our projects and initiatives. We also connect with local organizations such as schools, rescue missions, shelters, and clubs to address ways we can donate, host workshops, and create installations. Additionally, our team of passionate students plan and execute these initiatives!
